Daniel and Els Joustra have a burden to reach the lost and the hurting. Through prayer and evangelism they want to see lives impacted and transformed. They feel called to evangelize but see themselves as ‘pastors to the lost’. They don’t want to hit and run, but be involved in people’s lives, helping them to have their questions and needs answered. They want to help people see the truth of God’s Word and power.
In a nation where many religions and especially many atheists make their home, it’s important to have the right answers. It’s important to rely on God. He is the one that they need. It is wonderful to be on the streets and meet the people. Many people have hardly ever given God a thought. We have met young people that didn’t understand the word ‘God’, they had simply never really heard of it. We were able to tell them about the nature and character of God.

Through one –on- one conversation, street evangelism, and open air preaching, we seek to find and save that which is lost.

We want to make disciples, not just converts. We are very happy to actually help start FIRE School of Ministry Europe. It’s time for Europeans to be set ablaze for Jesus, and be sent out around their nations and other nations.

Working alongside FIRE Church Netherlands, it’s great to have a church that’s all about prayer and fasting and seeking the face of Jesus. We are all about revival and evangelism, and want to see the whole nation shaken under the power of God. We are especially focused on our neighborhood in Rotterdam: Hillegersberg. We do weekly prayer walks and seek to have everybody in the neighborhood prayed for, and finally, of course, saved.

We do, as well, have a huge burden to see righteousness in this and other nations. We want to see an end to abortion. Really we want God’s Kingdom to come. We feel like there is so much to do and always encourage people to go after God and find His will for their lives. The time is short, the possibilities are great!
