Gwendolyn is currently based on the big island of Hawaii. She graduated from a two year missional training program called Ekballo school of ministry where she received a heart for the lost and the unreached. Ekballo is the Greek world for “send” and as Gwendolyn prayed Matthew 9:38 “Pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out labors into his harvest field” she felt strongly that she could not pray a prayer she was not willing to be the answer to. A love for the nations has only grown in Gwendolyn as she has been able to go on short term outreach trips with Ekballo, continuing to say yes to the call to go. Ekballo is more than just a ministry school of prayer and a sending base, it is also a community of pioneers that develop kingdom family culture by loving others in humility and honor. Gwendolyn will be joining staff and continue to be a part of what the Lord is doing at Ekballo and in the nations.
God has also given Gwendolyn a heart for building up houses of prayer. Before Ekballo, she was able to be a part of helping plant a house of prayer in her home church located in Santa Barbara, California. “One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple.”
Psalm 27:4
Having been marked by the beauty of the secret place, Gwendolyn desires to bring others to hunger and seek the transformational presence of Jesus. Continual gazing upon the Lord has wrecked Gwendolyn for the ordinary life.
