The Deelstra family lives in the Rotterdam area of the Netherlands. Johannes and Jiska have 3 kids, age 6,4 and 1. After graduating at FIRE School of Ministry Europe, they both worked as staff for the school in administration, teaching and leading missions trips.
Since early 2021 they have opened their home for a house fellowship group. Together with a small group of lovers of Jesus they meet with each other weekly to “break the bread together”, sharing the Word of God with each other and worshipping Jesus.
Also, the Lord gave them and this group a burden to intensely seek the Lord’s Presence in weekly prayer meetings, interceding for the church in the Netherlands and justice issues.
With so many nationalities in the Netherlands there are great opportunities to reach many people from different cultures with the Gospel. Yet we also sense a great hunger and need for the Dutch people to find true life and meaning in Christ in these dark times.
In several local outreaches, like walking with a wooden cross, or reaching out to truckers they evangelize on the streets.
They have a passion for foreign missions, preaching the Gospel wherever Gods sends them. Since Johannes also enjoys working in building projects and Jiska being a nurse, their dream is to be “hands and feet” of Jesus by serving practically and spiritually at the same time. Serving in the need of people and sharing the love of Christ. Their vision is to expand in mission trips, bringing teams, and to give young people an opportunity to serve and have a taste of missions.
