Dear Family & Friends,
It is hard to believe that we have been in Mexico now for 19 years! We could not have done it without your prayers and financial support. Thank you so very much for partnering with us to see lives changed!
A.W. had ministered in various churches in Manzanillo and saw people surrendering their lives to Jesus! Praise God! There were people healed and others set free from bondages. At Psalm 23 Church there was a sweet presence of the Lord. Four people gave their lives to Jesus and maybe a dozen healings. We called prodigal sons to come back to The Father. God is good. What a great night in the presence of God at Victory in Christ Church Manzanillo. There were 15 people who gave their lives to Jesus and there were several healings. One lady told me that I prayed for her for dizzy spells 18 years ago and she is still healed today. Praise God! At Casa de Dios Emmanuel in Manzanillo there were 6 people who gave their lives to Jesus. God is so good!
We were able to give supplies to Pastor Rafa and Leno to make up 60 food bags for their communities. Also there was enough to give some to Pastor Rafa’s weekly feeding program for the kids.
Blessed with 28 boxes of clothing for those in need
We got a phone call from a Pastor friend telling us that he had 28 boxes of new clothing for us to give away to those in need. We went to pick up the boxes and on our way home we were stopped by the traffic police. The first thing that the officer said was, “Where is the sticker that matches your license place number?” Then he said your vehicle is a passenger vehicle not a vehicle to carry cargo. This is going to be a very expensive ticket. It is going to cost you $8,000 pesos which is around $400 depending on the exchange rate. Well you can clear this here and at this point A.W. knew that he wanted a bribe for an infraction that we didn’t commit. Then the officer said, “You don’t understand me do you?” A.W. said, “Yes, I understand, just write me the ticket.” Then the cop told him in English to “Shut up, don’t tell me how to do my job.” At the end of it all the police officer gave A.W. his license and registration back.
hen as A.W. went to leave he said, “God bless you” and he got mad again. The officer said, “I am a devotee of La Santa Muerte. What do you think about that?” A.W. had already been told he could leave so he got back in the SUV and we left. All this took about 45 minutes and then we were on our way home without paying the MORDIDA (the bribe).
Mas Que Vencedores Clothing giveaway and meal
I (Kathy) took the clothing that we were given and brought it to the center for the men and the women. They were so blessed and have been wearing their new clothing to church each week since that day. We also were able to provide a meal (sandwiches and chips) to all those at the center. There were close to 80 people there at that time. Things have been rough for the center as funds are tight and they are almost full to capacity. Thank you for helping make this possible.
Outreach meal at the food bank with Lety
We were expecting 70 or so people and around 175+ people showed up for a hot meal. Things are still very difficult here even though a lot of restrictions have been removed. The elderly and the moms with young children can’t be in the street markets. They are not allowed and for them this is their only source of income. So it has been desperate times for them. As we were serving spaghetti/rolls/salad and drink you could see the hope in their eyes. Their thoughts might have been something like this, “We don’t have to go hungry tonight!” We have seen so much sadness in these days. But this day you could see such a difference in their faces. If only for just 1 day they don’t have to worry about food. Please keep these people in prayer as they never know where their next meal is coming from.
In His Service,
AW & Kathy
