Hello all,

I pray that you all have had a great start to a new year.

This one thing I know is that we serve a great Great God and He is on the throne.

I was able to heal up from last month’s surgery and only suffer from occasional slight pain around my new scars.  During recovery I had the opportunity to preach 3 times, on God being our surgeon, personal revival, and maintaining personal revival.

The kids home school is moving along and I have had opportunity to help Becki teaching the kids. I have been delegated to teach math, the kids seem to really enjoy it.  We also have a science experiment to hatch duck eggs, it gives a great opportunity to teach the kids about design and creation, that the chicken had to come before the egg, and there had to be two chickens to fertilize the egg.

Becki and her mom are still ministering to the widows, shopping with them, fellowshipping with them, and bringing them food or groceries. Becki’s mom is scheduled to go back to Alaska at the end of February.

We had church with one of the widows of Hunter last Wednesday. We went over to start her gas fireplace before the storm came in, and then got to talking and opened our Bible, and before we knew it nearly 3 hours had passed.  We had a good time in the Lord.

A church that we attend just finished nearly a week of revival meetings, and there is a real change that is happening with the people. We have been given an open pulpit in Helena AR, with one of the ministers who taught at the revival.  He said to just show up on a Sunday and he will let me preach.

This last week has given me the opportunity to prepare our house for cold weather, and to do all the little things that I haven’t had time to do like put up trim and build shelves and finish the bathroom, and insulate water pipes.

The Metheodist church in Hunter is still closed, the heat still is not working properly even after getting a new heating unit. They are still waiting for the technician to return to hook up the thermostat and make sure that everything works.

As God lays us on your heart this month please pray for provisions, pray for open doors that we can clearly share Jesus with boldness, clarity and love so that the hearers will hear, understand and be changed. Please pray for God’s direction in all we do and for open doors to share at more churches and that more people will hear our vision and come along side us with what we are doing in Arkansas and ultimately in Brazil.

Thank you for praying, it really makes a difference, we can’t do what we do without your prayers and support.

Blessings in Jesus Christ our Lord.

About Jesse & Becki Brattrud

It is our vision and focus to plant churches and to establish a base that can accommodate other missionaries and/ or those who are being raised up for ministry

Our plan is to attend language school and while attending language school we will explore rural Brazil, west and southwest Brazil specifically, the farming communities and small towns. Our next step would be to find the area with the most need, those little red or orange dots on the map that signify less than 2% Christian. Once we find that location then we will begin to search for a central location around the greatest need to establish a base. Once we graduate language school we want to quickly and smoothly transition to the new location, walk around the villages praying and helping anyone out that we see needs and will accept it. Then invite them and their families to our place for supper serve them Jesus. Plant a church, begin street preaching in the town, raise up leaders that are capable of reproducing Christ in others and spreading the gospel. Turn the church over to the people and establish a pastor. Oversee the local pastor and repeat. The goal will be to plant as many growing, self sustaining Christ-centered churches as by Gods grace and power that we are able. To bring blessings to the communities by Acts 3:26 “When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways.”
