The workshop
I joke that the New Year is just another day. I say the same thing about my December birthday. God gave us the sun and moon to enable us to mark time and set celebrations so we may remember His great works on the earth. The new year is a time to look back and celebrate, and move forward in Godliness with new eyes.
After reflection, we decided to tear down walls and remake the guest level of our home into the space that will serve God best in the years to come.
I am thankful for the progress made on the house so far. We needed a place to move storage and tools outside the house before demolition on the guest level begins.
The shed / studio is now complete and we moved the tools and building materials from the guest level into the shed.
The final push on the shed was accomplished over Christmas by my Uncle Greg and my cousin’s husband. I have been told the storage loft in the shed should be called ‘Chris’s Loft’ for his part in the construction. The other loft was cleaned and prepared for use by a Bible schools friend’s son. Should it be called ‘Israel’s Loft’? I think I need to make signs!
Stephanie is starting classes with Cappella University. She has an RN and is earning her BSN. She has completed her prerequisites in a very short time, accruing 28 credits using her dedicated college computer. A cousin who just finished her masters degree was shocked by the speed of her early progress.
We have had an interesting year, I know you have, also. There has been cloud over world events and politics that needs to be parted to see what God has done in our lives and in the lives our families. We pray the peace of God to those who have lost family and friends this past year.

Pray for The Workshop.
We continue to reach out by phone to communicate with ministers God has set in our hearts. It is not the same as seeing people in person.
We are going to move walls in the guest level to better accommodate the vision. Pray for wisdom and insight moving forward on our house as we serve God here in North Carolina at The Workshop.
I am seeing positive results from the intravenous drugs on my digestive system. I am also feeling clearer of mind and stronger in body. These treatments will continue through next year and will have an impact on our finances.

We thank God for each one of you, your prayers and your support in our new adventure of bringing ministers into our home. Pray as we finish the guest area of our home

About Brian & Stephanie Forbes

“We fix broken hearts and parts.”

We come alongside ministries providing practical solutions to everyday problems. This builds a trust between us that enables those in ministry to openly communicate what is in their hearts. We see freedom come as Jesus guides us in healing lives. These times of refreshing are great morale boosters offering the edge needed to effectively minister.
