It was a pleasure to get to know the students when I taught at FIRE School of Ministry years ago. A few have stayed in the area. One of my former students came to The Workshop to help out for a day. With his help, we accomplished some 2-person tasks around the property, including some electrical wiring in the house and in the soon-to-be studio / shed. This is where I will do projects for the house and with guests.
There is nothing like working with your hands to calm and change your perspective. God is at the helm of our projects and we see where they go.
We had a minister come and stay a few nights. She said that it felt good to have ‘family’ to visit with. She went back refreshed and filled with hope and joy. Not all ministers have blood family who understand the calling on their lives. Some are even in opposition to ministry and add struggles. We look forward to many more opportunities to bring refreshing as God draws ministers here.
Fall has arrived in the mountains and the leaves are going from green, to brown, to the ground rather quickly this year. We haven’t yet purchased a load of fire wood. We are almost done building a 12’x16′ woodshed that should hold enough wood to heat our home this winter.
My aunt and uncle came for a visit. They helped stain and did more electrical wiring. I was able to sell some used equipment from the property.
Pray for The Workshop.
We thank God for each one of you, your prayers and your support in our new adventure of bringing ministers into our home. Pray as we finish the guest area of our home.

“We fix broken hearts and parts.”
We come alongside ministries providing practical solutions to everyday problems. This builds a trust between us that enables those in ministry to openly communicate what is in their hearts. We see freedom come as Jesus guides us in healing lives. These times of refreshing are great morale boosters offering the edge needed to effectively minister.
