Fifteen years together, Happy Anniversary to us! We escaped across the border to South Carolina to celebrate. The Zoo and a handful of museums were open with limited capacity in Greenville, SC. Stephanie was privy to a discounted hotel stay on the Reedy River. On the way, the truck had brake issues again. We left it at a Chevrolet dealer who was unable to determine the failure. They offered a possible reason for the intermittent system failure that I am going to test next time we experience the problem.
While we were at the zoo looking at the bronze bear, a bear visited our house. We did not catch it on the security camera system but the bear left us a present in the driveway!
We had other visitors. A gaggle of turkeys came through our property, eating seeds and berries.
Our Bible School friends who were in Texas for a year have returned to the area. It was good to see them again.
October brings our annual FIRE Missions Conference. We expected to have international missionaries come to our home this year. However, many countries are still not opened for travel to the USA. Only one of the missionaries are coming from overseas. A portion of our international missionaries are already here because of Covid-19 and are waiting to return to their countries of service.
We also had some little helpers come and move rocks and other materials around the place. We had fun too…
Pray for The Workshop.
We continue to reach out by phone to communicate with ministers God has set in our hearts. It is not the same as seeing people in person. Pray for wisdom and insight moving forward on our house as we serve God here in North Carolina at The Workshop.
We thank God for each one of you, your prayers and your support in our new adventure of bringing ministers into our home. Pray as we finish the guest area of our home.
