Dear Family & Friends, September 2020
A.W. & I are so very thankful for your prayers, monthly financial support and special cash gifts which are allowing us to step up and help those in dire situations. Many are lacking food, medicine, medical tests, beds, etc. Although we are in very different times God continues to open doors for us to minister to HIS people. They have opened up their hearts to hear about Jesus as we demonstrate God’s love in various ways! Please keep praying for us and know that we continue to pray for you and your families. Please feel free to let us know how we can pray for you at email@example.com, Augustus Jones on face book or on our Skype USA phone number 1-731-438-4569.
A.W.’s accident –A.W. was taking things out of the trailer and his shoe got caught on a raised manhole cover in the yard and he fell into the side of the brick wall. His head hit a raised corner of a brick and made a puncture wound that bled quite a bit. Pastor Benito came by and took A.W. to the doctor to get checked out to make sure that he was alright. Praise God that A.W. is much better. He had some days that he was really tired and a bit off. He probably had a concussion but the doctors didn’t say anything about it.
Feeding outreach 8/13/2020 and extra food. The Lord led me to contact Lety at the feeding program. The program stopped the end of July but she had invited me help with future meals if I was able. I asked her, “How are your neighbors?” She told me that many had no food and were stopping by her house to see if she could help feed them. There is still so much need here in Mexico as most non-essential businesses remain closed. Many people have lost their jobs. So we set up a date to feed her neighbors. She then contacted the people to advise them of the meal date, they were excited and blessed that they would eat that day. We gave out 123 meals and left enough spaghetti to make 40-50 more plates which Lety distributed that evening and the next day. Food bank– I (Kathy) also set up an emergency food bank a few days later at the Feeding program with Lety. There have been so many people showing up that don’t have any food. This will help her to meet urgent needs.
Meeting needs; Marisela’s husband left her and took their bed. She had been sleeping on the floor because she didn’t have the money to buy a bed. Irma’s 75 year old husband is on dialysis and was in dire need of a mattress and financial help to pay for some necessary medical tests. We were asked to help this family get a bed frame for their handicapped son. Someone had provided them with a mattress but they still needed a frame. Martha has three very small children but needed a bed for her baby. We were given a pack n play when we were in Jackson TN and were able to bless this mom. She was so thankful!
Bethel Church – Pastor Rafa & Erika
We were able to provide chairs for the feeding program/church for Bethel Church and also bring rice, salt, oil, tuna and other necessities to help them get their feeding program restarted.
Thank you for your prayers and financial support that makes things like this possible. Blessings!
In His Service,
AW & Kathy
