It has been quite the last couple of months,
We are reaching out more to the people of Hunter in practical ways mowing lawn for miss Betty on a weekly basis while Becki visits with her and has church with her, as a result we have had open doors to meet more of her family and share our story with them. I have been working around the community and the result has been that we are building a reputation and relationships with people of the community.
Becki has been bringing fruit and veggies from the garden and sharing them with various widows, at the same time others have been blessing us with the same, Kenny who I met while working at the fire station recently brought us cucumbers which Becki made into pickles, and Mr. Larry has been doing the same, Larry is the gentleman who we met a couple months ago who listens to what we say out of respect. He has an army of family that is praying for him, including a believing wife and a daughter and son in law that are ministers at a local Church of God in Forrest city. I pray that we will have the right conversation at the right time, to answer the questions that he has, he is a great guy with a great heart, he needs Jesus.
Kenny is another great guy, very giving and very friendly, he is a believer that needs discipleship, I get to talk to him for about 5 minutes every week. He does not attend any local church. We are getting closer to having our house to the place where we can begin to have company and Lord willing a house church. We have ripped out a wall and are working to make the kitchen and living room into one big room that is capable of holding 10-15 people mostly comfortably.
I have had the opportunity to work with Bartley nearly everyday. I do enjoy working with him, he is so hungry for Jesus, and he is reaching people that I cant, because he is one of them, he know things about the people here that I may never realize. It amazes me how Jesus will give you what you need when the time is right. And He gave me Bartley to pour my heart for Jesus and passion for souls into, and he is a dry sponge soaking up the Rivers of Living Water.
Becki’s mom has come down here to visit, we don’t know for how long yet but it is great to have here here, Becki has been acting like a little girl, to see her mom for the first time in 10 months, it was a crying occasion for the kids, Becki and Grandma to be reunited after these months.
As we are on your hearts and minds, please pray that we can get the material to finish the kitchen / living room area of the house so we can begin to have guests in the house, please pray for open doors with more people to share Jesus with, and please join my family as we pray for Mr Larry, he is my fathers age and I want to see him in heaven some day, he needs Jesus. Please pray for Becki as she visits the ladies in the community that she has boldness, wisdom, and clarity as she shares Jesus with them and their families. Please join us as we pray for another vehicle, the right vehicle so we can be traveling together while Grandma is here, and so Becki can do what needs to be done while I am working.
Thank you for all your prayers and support, we cant do what we do without you, we appreciate each and everyone of you very much.
Blessings in Christ,
Jesse and Becki Brattrud and family

Hello all, God is good, all the time, and all the time, God is good. The neighbors down the street, Ray and Kim, when we first met them last summer they would only pier through the crack in their door to talk with us. And since then Becki has brought them meals, and...
Hello all, I pray that you all have had a great start to a new year. This one thing I know is that we serve a great Great God and He is on the throne. I was able to heal up from last month’s surgery and only suffer from occasional slight pain around my new scars. ...
About Jesse & Becki Brattrud
It is our vision and focus to plant churches and to establish a base that can accommodate other missionaries and/ or those who are being raised up for ministry
Our plan is to attend language school and while attending language school we will explore rural Brazil, west and southwest Brazil specifically, the farming communities and small towns. Our next step would be to find the area with the most need, those little red or orange dots on the map that signify less than 2% Christian. Once we find that location then we will begin to search for a central location around the greatest need to establish a base. Once we graduate language school we want to quickly and smoothly transition to the new location, walk around the villages praying and helping anyone out that we see needs and will accept it. Then invite them and their families to our place for supper serve them Jesus. Plant a church, begin street preaching in the town, raise up leaders that are capable of reproducing Christ in others and spreading the gospel. Turn the church over to the people and establish a pastor. Oversee the local pastor and repeat. The goal will be to plant as many growing, self sustaining Christ-centered churches as by Gods grace and power that we are able. To bring blessings to the communities by Acts 3:26 “When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways.”
