Greetings, Friends. I trust that you are drawing near to God and remaining encouraged during these tumultuous times. God is still on the throne, his purposes will prevail and his people will prosper. He is our protector, our provision, our peace and our purpose.
Unfortunately, Delta canceled the flight I had booked. Nigeria has gotten its airports up and running for domestic traffic, but has yet to resume international flights. This is a difficult disappointment and I am trusting God to hasten the opening date. Please pray with me along those lines.
School is yet to resume though a proposal was made for opening to senior classes in primary and secondary students so that they could take their final exams. We continue to support our teachers at the Word of Life Academy and Fangun with their salaries. We cannot abandon our faithful co-laborers at Word of Life or those whom we are building relationship with in Fangun. Thank you for those who sent an extra gift last month to make this possible. Funds for July’s salary have been sent. Please pray that God will enable us to continue until the kids are back in school and school fees are available to cover salaries as usual.
Wonderful news is that funds for publishing our reading series have been sent out. Trustworthy folks are overseeing the project and I can begin training with new schools as soon as my feet hit Nigerian soil!
I attend Pastor Wade Zachery’s Sunday School class , from Crossroads AG, Asheville via Zoom. My dear friends and hosts, Emmanuel and Abigail Olawepo, now join from Nigeria! It is so very wonderful to see them each week, plus, they have brought on Bimbo, Ezekiel, and my honorary granddaughter, Faith, to greet me before class. It is “Like cold water to a weary soul is good news from a distant land.” Prov. 25:35
Friends, thank you for being vessels of love, encouragement and provision during these exceptional times. I am humbled and honored by your faithfulness in partnership. Our God is Great, and he will see us through.
God Bless You as we Reach Nigeria Together,
