It is hot! I am spending mornings working outside and afternoons inside. I’m thankful for this mountain retreat. It is cooler here than in other places by nearly 10 degrees.
We spent a great week in Pennsylvania with my mom.
In two more weeks we get the new roof.
We had a guest! My Bible school friend allowed his son to come to our house and act as a grunt worker. “Bright, reliable, and courteous” are good descriptors for this young man. It rained most of the days he was here, so we did not get as much done as we hoped. He did learn how to back up a trailer.
He also helped get the workshop/shed prepared so we can move the tools into it from the guest area of the house. It will be a climate controlled space for both myself and guests to build projects.
Stephanie loves to mow. She used a friend’s brush mower to clear some paths in the woods. It is considerably cooler in the cover of the trees. I keep looking for used benches and chairs to put along the pathways, as well as a brush mower for us to own.
We hope to have spaces and paths ready by the missions conference this October. We are a couple hours drive from the FIRE International offices and expect to have missionaries stop by before and after the conference.
Pray for travel plans and virus details to settle out so missionaries and churches can attend the annual conference.
Pray for The Workshop.
We thank God for each one of you, your prayers and your support in our new adventure of bringing ministers into our home. Pray as we finish the guest area of our home.

About Brian & Stephanie Forbes
“We fix broken hearts and parts.”
We come alongside ministries providing practical solutions to everyday problems. This builds a trust between us that enables those in ministry to openly communicate what is in their hearts. We see freedom come as Jesus guides us in healing lives. These times of refreshing are great morale boosters offering the edge needed to effectively minister.
