LIFE AS WE KNOW IT TODAY!! We all are facing a unique situation in our normal day to day lives. We are grateful that our lives have not been totally disrupted. Since our jobs are considered “essential,” Tobi is still going to the office for a couple of hours a day. Our 120 missionaries around the world still need our office staff to do the day to day work on this side of the planet!! There are less than 10 people in the whole office building and they are all being careful to maintain healthy distances. Josh is staying at home, other than almost daily runs to either a grocery store, Walmart, or Lowes. It is spring and there is a lot of spring work to do around the house and in the yard. Since he is 70, he is considered at risk. Praise the Lord, we are never at risk when we trust the Lord. He is the One who cares for us!!!
We are very grateful that the majority of our missionaries have thus far escaped the clutches of the corona virus. One family in England has had it run through most of their family, but they are on the other side now and none of them had to be hospitalized. We are grateful to the Lord for His protection over our missionaries. Most of them are under some sort of stay at home order. A few have had travel plans disrupted. Some have returned to the States because of the virus. But they all continue to do what they can do to spread the Gospel.
TRAVEL PLANS Personally, we had one local trip that we had to cancel because of the virus and are hoping to be able to reschedule that in the not to distant future. We also have plans and tickets to go to Tanzania in July. Please pray with us that we will be able to go and return with no problems. At this point that is our only international trip for the rest of the year. We are grateful that the Lord did not lay any other trips on our hearts for the Spring months this year. Normally we would have at least one or two others that we would have had to cancel. God always knows what is coming and He gives us wisdom when we obey those closed doors!!
Thank you for continuing to stand with us. We are definitely in this together and that is more than just a catch phrase for this season. If you need prayer, please contact us. We are happy and so willing to pray with you and for you!!
Love in Jesus,
Josh & Tobi
