Wow is all I have to say. Wow!
It has been quite a month of March. It started off with some good momentum and we were able to share in a couple churches during the first half of the month, we met with Pastor Luiz, a Brazilian pastor pastoring in an American church,Quincy Assemblies of God, Quincy Florida and had a meeting with Pastor Danny Davis in Panama City.
At the park we stayed at near Panama City, we met a retired pastor from Northridge Church in Pensacola Florida. He knew an old friend of mine named Johnny Hall. When he mentioned Johnny’s name I knew where we would be going to church the next week.
We only spent about five or six days in Pensacola. During that time our 6 Year old, Abigail, began having breathing problems, we had her examined and found it was not the flue, asma, or covid 19. They said that it was probably a reaction to pollen in the air. We had the opportunity to visit another old friend of mine, Aaron Hunter, It was great to have a meal with him and share our heart with each other. After visiting Aaron, we were able to help Johnny with yard work for a couple of days, It was a great time for everyone there. I have really missed Aarons and Johnnys friendship over the years.
On March 20 we had to leave Florida on account of all the rv parks closing in Florida because of Covid 19. We thought that we would visit my sister in Texas and did get to see her and her family for 2 days. It was the first time she met our youngest, Rhema, who is 4. We thought that we would have the opportunity to share at churches in Texas but that was short lived with all the church closures and then the lock down in Dallas County, since there was talk of a fine for being out we decided to head north to Oklahoma only to learn that the lock down was affecting there too.
As we were traveling we have been trying to locate a place to stay while this Covid 19 thing is going on, the problem we ran into was that the rv parks that remained open either would not allow us to stay because our vehicle was too old, because we have kids under 18, because we are under 55, or because of our dog. Needles to say it was a little disheartening. God finally provided us with a place to stay in Hunter Arkansas on March 30 where we wont have to worry about being asked to leave and will be able to wait out the covid 19 quarantine lock down season. We are affectionately calling it the Sanctuary or the Promised Land after all our travels trying to find the right place that God wants for us for now.
That being said, this is a great time to prepare for what God is planning to do next. This is our time to pray and get he Heart of God on what he wants us to do and how he wants us to do it. It is a time to be spiritually refreshed and to have our hearts and minds awakened by the Creator Himself. There are divine appointments out there and people that you will have the opportunity to share with, though from 6 feet away. There are children out there that a being able to play with their parents for possibly the first time in years, there are husbands that are fumbling through learning to be the spiritual leader of their house, and wives learning to follow their husbands as they follow Christ.
Thank you so much to all of you that have been praying for us during these challenging times, for those who have been praying for a safe place for us to stay during these times.
As we are on your heart please pray that God will continue to guide and direct us where and when he would like us to go, please pray for provision, as well as divine appointments, and please pray that we share Gods word in boldness and love so that others can hear, receive and be changed.
Thank you again for all your prayers and support, we truly are doing this together.
Blessings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

About Jesse & Becki Brattrud
It is our vision and focus to plant churches and to establish a base that can accommodate other missionaries and/ or those who are being raised up for ministry
Our plan is to attend language school and while attending language school we will explore rural Brazil, west and southwest Brazil specifically, the farming communities and small towns. Our next step would be to find the area with the most need, those little red or orange dots on the map that signify less than 2% Christian. Once we find that location then we will begin to search for a central location around the greatest need to establish a base. Once we graduate language school we want to quickly and smoothly transition to the new location, walk around the villages praying and helping anyone out that we see needs and will accept it. Then invite them and their families to our place for supper serve them Jesus. Plant a church, begin street preaching in the town, raise up leaders that are capable of reproducing Christ in others and spreading the gospel. Turn the church over to the people and establish a pastor. Oversee the local pastor and repeat. The goal will be to plant as many growing, self sustaining Christ-centered churches as by Gods grace and power that we are able. To bring blessings to the communities by Acts 3:26 “When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways.”
