Dear Family & Friends, January 2020
Happy New Year!!! Praying that you all have a wonderful and blessed New Year!
We are back at home in Mexico after driving 13,417 MILES during the trip. It is so good to be sleeping in our own beds. Thank you everyone for your prayers, fellowship, support, meals, chances to do our laundry and all the blessings that were given to us.
God’s protection on the way to Ocala Florida
A semi truck that was in front of us had a tar like substance fly off the roof which hit the corner of his vehicle and then it shattered all over the pavement and our truck. A.W. was able to swerve into the break down lane and not lose control of our SUV. We are so very thankful for God’s protection once again over us, the other vehicles and that there was no damage with our vehicle.
Protected once again just as we crossed into Mexico
This trip has been one that God’s protection is so overwhelmingly evident from start to finish. We just wanted to Praise God once again for his protection over our lives. We entered into Mexico and went through the paperwork to claim and pay taxes on the things we were carrying, (there was no way we could have ever gotten through with a trailer and not paid taxes). After paying the taxes we crossed into Mexico and had been on the road for about a mile or less when we encountered two SUVS. The first one had at least 2 or more men, and then the second was full of strong looking men. The first one signaled A.W. with a flash light to pull over then swerved in front and pulled over expecting us to follow. A.W. did not pull over and he immediately felt God’s presence. (He later told me that the Lord had warned him in a dream that something was going to happen) The second vehicle pulled up next to us. The driver was leaning back staring at us; the men on the passenger side were also staring at us. When A.W. did not pull over the two cars turned around and went back the other way. Probably looking for someone else to try and stop. Phew!! That was not FUN. We are so thankful to be home and safe!
Children’s Christmas Event
We were blessed to be able to help with an event for the Children in Lomas de la Primavera. This is a very poor community going up the mountain. As you are driving up the dirt road to the area the houses are so unfinished, the electric wires on the poles are definitely not regulation. We were told that the electricity is so weak by the time it gets up to that area that you can’t even run a blender to make salsas. There were about 80 or so kids and some moms that came to the event. There was a time of worship, A.W. preached and some of the children accepted Jesus. They were fed, and then they all received a blanket, candy bag and the moms received a New Testament and a bracelet or other small piece of costume jewelry.
Thank you for your prayers, financial gifts that helped make this outreach possible. God is bringing in the harvest one person at a time! Please don’t forget to send your prayer requests to email@example.com we would love to pray for you.
In His Service,
AW & Kathy
