Dear Family and Friends,

It feels like winter has arrived early here in Belgium. It’s gotten awfully cold, awfully quick. I just got back from a quick five-day trip to a country north of here where it really is cold. But fortunately it was warmer there than here in Belgium with no snow or ice.

Brexit, as many of you know is still in the works and unsettled. Please pray that the European Union (EU) officials and the British officials will make good decisions that will bless the British people as well as establish appropriate trade agreements between the UK and EU. Pray also that peace will reign among the British who are working abroad, especially in EU nations. I pray peace into the situations here and in the UK.

The past few months have been harried, busy, frustrating and with much to do. It took five weeks for my boiler to be repaired; it’s a key appliance as it provides hot water for a shower as well as heats the radiators in my apartment. Frustrations like that are not fun. It’s working now, but sometimes shuts itself off. It worked fine while I was away for a week; then when I turned it up to heat normally, it shut itself off.

In early November I went on an international prayer trip with the team of which I’m part. A good friend of mine and fellow intercessor joined us to see if she’s a good fit for the team. Lo and behold, she is, so will continue to be part of our team. Being with this international team is always like being with family; in fact, that’s one of our team values  is that we are family and endeavor to communicate well and intimately with one another. We had some excellent worship and prayer times together.

Something at one particular place where we went really struck me. We were headed to a small river where we knew some devastating things had happened. We were going to pray cleansing over this area and purification of the water. When I opened the car door to get out, I heard very loud crisp crunching, breaking of sticks. I looked over to see a small herd of cattle walking on and eating dry sticks. It didn’t even look like straw, but was taller sticks from some very dry plants. What I heard was the breaking of sticks as they walked on them as well as ate them. It was a brutal sound. I was surprised then to see the cattle looked well-nourished and well-fed.

I did pray that they would be nourished and thrive. Then out of the mud and mire, we saw a very large cow, cross the small river bed and nurse her young calf. Somehow they have survived as well as the people of the valley in which we were, after so much bloodshed and sin over the years. I felt that was due to God’s immeasurable mercy and grace.

Prayer continued in the European Parliament with the same core members of the group becoming stronger and closer. Getting to know the ones you pray with is so key – provides for better support and unity.

My Health:

I am continuing along, trying to lose weight, eat right, and exercise.  With the holidays and extra food around, it’s not always easy. Also, my birthday is just before Christmas.

Will you pray that I can continue to be disciplined enough to eat right, exercise, and be healed of diabetes, respiratory problems and heart weakness with no long-term problems?

My Finances:

My finances are okay, but not great. I will be doing some more fund-raising in the next few weeks. Pray that I’m able to contact the right people and explain well what I’m doing.

Will you pray that my support will increase and my expenses decrease, may God’s Kingdom come here on earth as it is in Heaven!

Thank you so much for your prayers, friendship and support.  Your partnership is so important to me. I love and appreciate each of you so much.

Love in Christ,

Carol
