November has come and gone and Jesus is on the move.

Since last month we have visited 7 more churches and shared what we are doing traveling in our bus and sharing our vision for Brazil.

Our vision for Brazil is to teach the people to read the Bible for themselves, to fast and pray and seek heaven, and ultimately to pastor and evangelize their communities.  In the process as we are sharing our vision for Brazil we are encouraging the people and churches we meet to do the same in their communities using Matthew 28:18-20.

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

On our way to Cincinnati I called a man that was my pastor about 23 years ago when I lived in Minnesota, he currently lives in Piqua Kentucky.  He suggested we go to Cleddie Keith’s church in Cincinnati, there we me a pastor from South Carolina, they said that they would contact us.  From there we went to Piqua and stayed at my pastor friends house, Pastor Bill Robinson. While there we helped them with some Sheetrock.  Through him we visited 3 other churches in the area, Pastor Anthony Mullins, Pastor Anthony Gubbitz, and Pastor Ron Spencer’s Church.  It was a great time of fellowship with the churches and Pastor Bill and his wife Dianna.

From Kentucky we headed to Pastor Peyton Harris’s Church in Richmond Virginia, they were a real blessing to us as well.

Since knowing why we believe what we believe is so important to me, and we were so close to Washington DC we headed there for a day to visit the Museum of the Bible, we were only able to visit 2 of the six floors, there was so much to see.

Next we headed to Concord NC, and Pastor Chris Williams allowed us to share our vision at their annual chili cook off. I really enjoyed spending time with Pastor Chris and pray that our friendship will continue to grow.

The last Friday of November we visited a Brazilian church in south Charolette, we all instantly became family, they invited us to their house for a barbecue.  Brother Milton, Brother Isias, and the rest of the brothers and sisters became instant family.

As I am writing this we just had 2 police officers stop by.  Evidently someone reported us so they had to respond.  They basically came into the bus and said “yep, it’s warm.” And left.

I had the opportunity to share what we are doing and our vision for Brazil with them. We appreciate all that our police do for us and our communities and pray for their protection in everything.

We pray that you all have a very merry, Christ filled, Christmas.  We are praying for you.

Thank you also for all of your prayers and support, it means so much to us.

Please pray that we can bring the gospel with boldness, clarity, and the love that others can receive. Please pray for our partnership development to continue to gain momentum.

Thank you to everyone who has partnered with us, your prayers make a huge difference. Thank you again

Blessings in Christ,

Jesse and Becki Brattrud and Family

Jesse & Becki Brattrud February 2020

Hello my friends. This last month has been a very educational month. We have been calling and emailing churches but have only received two responses, both telling us that they are not taking on any more missionaries.  Well we know that the definition of insanity is...

About Jesse & Becki Brattrud

It is our vision and focus to plant churches and to establish a base that can accommodate other missionaries and/ or those who are being raised up for ministry

Our plan is to attend language school and while attending language school we will explore rural Brazil, west and southwest Brazil specifically, the farming communities and small towns. Our next step would be to find the area with the most need, those little red or orange dots on the map that signify less than 2% Christian. Once we find that location then we will begin to search for a central location around the greatest need to establish a base. Once we graduate language school we want to quickly and smoothly transition to the new location, walk around the villages praying and helping anyone out that we see needs and will accept it. Then invite them and their families to our place for supper serve them Jesus. Plant a church, begin street preaching in the town, raise up leaders that are capable of reproducing Christ in others and spreading the gospel. Turn the church over to the people and establish a pastor. Oversee the local pastor and repeat. The goal will be to plant as many growing, self sustaining Christ-centered churches as by Gods grace and power that we are able. To bring blessings to the communities by Acts 3:26 “When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways.”
