Dear Family and Friends, October/November 2019
Greetings from Krivoy Rog, Ukraine! This last month was a whirlwind with Women’s conference and then a quick trip to North Carolina for FIRE International’s 20th annual mission’s conference! Because of the busy schedule, this will be the only newsletter for both October and November!
At the Feet of the King – Women’s Conference: “Heaven is open! Heaven is here!” is what one of the ladies shouted out during a time of worship and it accurately described our conference! Everyone came with open hearts that were hungry for God and because of that hunger the presence of God was evident! Every woman I spoke with told me how much God touched them! Praise God! There were about 150 ladies who attended this year from over ten different churches, about twice as many as last year! We had four powerful messages, several times of worship, lunch, and fellowship. The words shared were on not letting our dreams die, not limiting God in our lives, freedom, and His faithfulness! One of our speakers was my fellow FIRE missionary and good friend, Sherika Lockhart, who flew from the Philippines where she serves, to speak at our conference. Besides speaking, she also sang for us and it was anointed! All the work to prepare for this conference was so worthwhile! We were asked so many times about when we will have another conference, but that won’t be until Fall of 2020! I so loved seeing the Holy Spirit move mightily like He did at this conference!
Legacy: The 20th Annual FIRE International Mission’s Conference: I’m so happy that I was able to travel to Concord, North Carolina and be part of this conference! FIRE International has been sending missionaries now for twenty years, and I’ve been on the field through FI for sixteen years. Dr. Josh and Tobi Peters have been the most amazing directors and I’m so incredibly honored to be counted as one of “theirs”. Many of our 160-something missionaries came back and it was so good to see them and hear how God is moving powerfully around the world! After listening to their testimonies from the far corners of the planet, I can confidently say God is on the move and His Kingdom is being built everywhere! He is good and He is faithful!
FIRE School Reunion: There was a school reunion right before the mission’s conference. It’s been twenty-two years since the school was founded and as of this fall the school is now entirely online! If you’re interested in getting more training from some of the most incredible men and women of God that I’ve ever known, check it out for yourself here: fire-school.org .
It was a much needed trip for my spirit and my soul! To see the faculty who poured into my life that I hadn’t seen in years was so wonderful! I was able to spend some time with Bert & Carolyn Farias who were so influential during my years in Pensacola. I can confidently say I owe a lot to them for whom I’ve become today! Also spending time with the other missionaries was so refreshing, because they truly are that small group of people who truly understand me! After hearing from our leaders, being prayed for, spending time in worship, and fellowship I headed back to Ukraine feeling restored, refreshed, and renewed! I was even able to see my Dad and sister for an hour during my long layover in Minneapolis on the way to Charlotte – God really works everything out!
Back in Krivoy Rog: The ministry continues to move forward! We continue to reach out to the students in the dormitories, the homes for special needs, the children’s hospital, evangelism on the streets, plus everything that happens at our Church of Truth: weekly services, home groups, leadership meetings, etc. It’s busy but so good! Recently, I was able to visit the special needs home for children which was a real treat to see these girls again! I’m constantly reminded that all around us are many in need, but because of God’s grace we are seeing many impacted by the Gospel!
Prayer Points and Praise:
- Praise report: With your help, we’ve been able to find transportation for the people in the village of Zalevky to attend the church weekly in Smila.
- Pray for supernatural healing and miracles. We have several in need of healing in our Church body in Ukraine.
- Pray for fresh vision for my team and renewed passion, pray against spiritual burnout!
- Pray for many to encounter Jesus as we do evangelism
- Pray for my time of fundraising in December-January, that God would provide new connections!
Thank you for your faithful support, love, and encouragement! I pray the God of peace fill your heart and home with His presence! I will be in the USA from Christmas until the 10th of February. I would love to see you! If you would like to get together during that time, please get in touch with me and let’s get it on the calendar! Time goes by fast, so the earlier in my trip the better! God Bless You!
