Greetings Family, Friends and Partners,
It’s hard to believe another month has come and gone and “Pumpkin Spice Season” has already gripped America. Meanwhile, in the Philippines we are celebrating Christmas “BER” months. Any month ending in “BER” is considered a Christmas month so there’s already music and displays popping up in stores. So no pumpkin spice phenomena going on over here ;).
Beauty for Ashes Outreach has also been going well but unfortunately we are still having very heavy rains in the evenings which causes major flash flooding that hinders us from spending more time on the streets. Recently many of the ladies homes were even flooded due to heavy rains. Again, we keep looking for practical ways to love and offer support during these hard times.
This month we had a special outreach with worship, testimonies, prayer and Jollibee chicken and rice meals. They sang Filipino worship songs. Our team shared a powerful testimony about how God wants to “clean us up” so we don’t have to clean ourselves up before deciding to come to Him; and once we do come to Him He is the only one who can transform us from the inside out.
Last month I mentioned Beauty for Ashes is now officially a registered NGO and now we are working on opening our bank account here and moving forward with more requirements. More paperwork is ahead so we covet your prayers to get through this process. Thank you all for your prayers and support.
