Spring in Marion, NC…

Spring reminds us that God makes all things new. Since our time at Mission Outpost ended, God is transforming us for the next step. We hope to stage our ministry from here, Marion, NC. The mountains and climate are conducive to year-round ministry. God has been bringing us missionaries to stay at our home. They come for respite, to recharge and refocus, meeting the deep needs of the soul. We are looking for a house to make into a home to share with God’s servants. Please pray with us for this time of house hunting and planning. We look forward to serving those who serve others from a home of our own. Stephanie had been keeping in contact with a few female missionaries we recently hosted. I got a call the other day about a car repair situation from one of the ladies.

Honing our skills…

My cousin in Charlotte pressed my remodeling skills by asking me to install a robust set of windows in his above-garage apartment. It was a great time of being with family. I am continuing with counseling classes. I have passed 2 classes and am working on the 3rd now. Stephanie was able to get away from the work for an afternoon to spend with a missionary friend encouraging her.

Special Request…

We are searching for a house and it has been difficult. We have driven a few hundred miles looking for a property that can be transformed into an oasis for God’s servants to come and stay.  We hope to build 2 prayer cabins on the property. A pastor comes to the cabin at our present rental property weekly, and the missionaries have been using it as well.  We will need to landscape and decorate. We lived in the motorhome for 11 years, with no options for decorating or landscaping. We will start over when we purchase a house. Do you have a talent that might help us make our new home and property inviting?

As we work to make our home a place of rest and restoration, I am reminded of Israel. God uses the example of a people gone astray to show us how important it is to stay close to Him. He wants us to stay in His loving embrace for us to be in balance.This...

Return from Belgium…   Carol and I could relate on many levels (from daily chores of life to ministry perceptions) despite our age difference. I enjoyed hearing her life story, how she came into ministry and how God has led her through the years. It was...

About Brian & Stephanie Forbes

“We fix broken hearts and parts.”

We come alongside ministries providing practical solutions to everyday problems. This builds a trust between us that enables those in ministry to openly communicate what is in their hearts. We see freedom come as Jesus guides us in healing lives. These times of refreshing are great morale boosters offering the edge needed to effectively minister.
