Shalom Chaverim v’ Mishpocha,
For those who do not know, on May 9th, 2019 Israel celebrated its seventy-first rebirth. (Yom Haatzmaut…Independence Day) As usual, Carmel Assembly celebrated with a picnic on the grounds. Not only were the members of our congregation in attendance, but we also had guests show up to enjoy the music, bar-b-que and an inspiring message on ‘faithfulness’ brought through our lead pastor, Dani. His message can be seen on YouTube. Just put in the title ‘Independence Day Message from Mount Carmel’ in You Tube’s search.
Our next bit of news is that the front area of the congregational property is now finished…Thank God! All in all, it took about a month to complete the cutting of the lawn and the trimming of the trees and bushes. Please keep me in your prayers because the ordeal took a lot out of me. Recently, I had to get an x-ray of my neck which showed 3 vertebrates are rubbing on each other. I have an appointment to see an orthopedic doctor on June second. Also, I had an ultrasound on both of my shoulders today. After waiting a few days we found out the results are as follows. My right shoulder has a partially torn ligament, and my left shoulder has arthritis in two areas. Seeing that my left shoulder hurts more than my right I really thought that the diagnosis would be just the opposite. All things being considered the report is better than what we expected. Even though our family doctor is telling us that my neck probably isn’t as bad as what I have been imagining, we will wait for the Orthopedic doctor’s report on the second of June. Your prayers will be gratefully appreciated.
Well, we will sign off for now. We are honored by our pastor’s wife, LuAnne, who offered to write you a message which you will find on the back of this newsletter.
Love to you all.
In His Service,
Frank & Carol
Letter Add On
I asked Frank if I could write something for their newsletter.
I wanted to share with their friends and supporters what a blessing Frank and Carol are to us. They both work tirelessly through the week. Carol pours herself out to the elderly and handicapped, but on Shabbat, she faithfully comes early so that she can help to organize the music. I hate to think what the grounds around the congregation would look like if Frank were not around. He is always seen with some kind of mowing or blowing instrument in hand, even though he deals with almost constant pain.
Their good deeds are amazing, but the real reason I wanted to write is because of their attitude. They choose to be happy and to bless others, day after day. Frank never forgets to buy coffee for my husband every Shabbat. Our lives are so much richer because Frank and Carol are in them. Whenever they are absent, there is a huge hole in the place where they should be.
This couple is so worthy of support. They love this nation, and Israel is blessed to have them here, as are we.
In the love of Yeshua,
Member of the leadership team of Kehilat HaCarmel, and wife of lead pastor, Dani Sayag

About Frank & Carol LaPorta
The Father’s Heart Ministry (FHM) started back in April 2004 and is totally based on God’s Word in Matthew 25:34-40. In short what these verses state is that we are to minister to the needy of the world. That is what Carol and I, by the leading of the Holy Spirit, are doing here in Israel.
