Over this season of dreaming big dreams and building partnerships we have often been asked “what is the date that you are leaving?”. Time and again we have given generalized answers of when we might be able to leave based on how our funding was going or we have shared where we were in the process. Even when we started writing this newsletter, we were going to share how we had decided not to give any more dates but just let God do what He wanted to do. It has been a season that we desperately wanted to know that answer, but we have had to surrender to His plans and His timing. However, now, before we even have had time to finish the newsletter, things have drastically changed. We are excited to announce that we have recently purchased tickets and will be flying out on May 27th for Kenya. We will stay in Kenya for a short time to attend language school while we wait for the Tanzanian work permits and residency visas to be finalized. Once we are done with language school and the paperwork is finished, we will travel the short distance to Tanzania and start work there. For more details and to see the announcement about the departure date please check our Facebook page, Compelled By Love-The Noah’s In Eastern Africa. We also will be launching a YouTube channel that we will update with videos of what is going on with us in Africa on a fairly frequent basis. To follow our channel go to YouTube and look up the channel “Compelled By Love – The Noah’s In Eastern Africa”.
In the coming days, we continue to need our prayer partners to storm Heaven on our behalf. We expect many things to come up that we can’t even anticipate now, but some of our current requests include:
-Grace to complete the many things that need to be done before we leave. Even with all the preparations, it still seems our list is very long;
-Quality time with friends and family as we say goodbye;
-Paperwork- especially the Tanzanian work permits and visas;
-Grace and favor for each leg of our travel;
-Our emotions…for all of us, but especially for our kids, there is a lot to process. (Also, continue to pray for my sister as she is experiencing a lot of loss through this and the past few months; we have been staying with her and she will likely feel the loss more acutely than others);
-Finances- as we launch, there have been a number of unexpected expenses…pray that with us officially launching that more monthly partnerships and one time donations come in;
-Wisdom for each step and that God would be glorified through it all.
