Using Love to Transform Victims Into Victors!
Dear Friends and Family,
I’m so blessed to have such an awesome address list – you’re all the best! Now I really need each of you to please pray and try to connect me with your church, missions board or even your employer or company! I’m considering a trip to the Northwest this spring in order to raise more funds. It is a wonderful blessing and a huge project to raise girls who are being rescued out of sexual exploitation situations! The Home has recently lost $600/mo because of the donors family situation. You can imagine that this is quite a devastation to my bank account; I have monthly support for only three girls, but am housing six. It breaks my heart to have to turn down weekly offers of more girls that are in dire need of our love and protection.
Sometimes, I’ve recently realized, we need to look at the people in our lives differently. “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations…” Mat 28:19a Wow, this is exactly what I’m doing! How awesome it is to be right in the center of my God’s will for my life! Being a disciple maker means that we will begin to look at the people in our lives differ-ently. Every person is created in the image of God and, just maybe, God has placed these people in our lives so that we will do everything that we can to influence them. “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger who brings good news, the good news of peace and salvation, the news that the God of Israel reigns!” Isaiah 52:7
Land: I have a wonderful opportunity to receive a grant in which a construc-tion company out of Chicago would come and build a home for us that would house 50 violated little girls! In this building project I would be able to continue to receive girls 12 and under, but not send them away on their 13th birthday; I will house them in a sepa-rate wing of the home! Can’t tell you how excited I am for this! The construction is totally free, but I do need to have a piece of land on which to build. Land here is extremely expensive, so I need $50,000 to purchase an acre. Thank you so much for considering donating to this project and sharing the wonderful opportunity with others! The Lord is transforming lives one by one!
