Hello Dear Family and Friends,
This has been quite the year already. I would not make it here if it were not for your amazing love, kindnesses, prayers and financial support!
The picture above is from my son, Joel’s wedding to Liz danik on February 16th, 2019. January rushed by in many preparations for the wedding as well as keeping up with ministry.
By god’s grace, I had may hands of every dress and gown in the wedding party. Many adjustments a few make-overs. I also bake over 900 cookies for the wedding reception. I also helped with the ‘cookie corner’ and placing flowers on the 4tier bridal cake, which was very beautiful.
The day was packed with my doing the bride’s hair at 10 am and then many other things, including helping to decorate the church and prepare for the ceremony.
It was fun, yet a t the same time, we had to deal with the lack of electricity on the 2 days designated for baking as well as in the remaking of a few of the dresses, I worked way into the night.
The picture at the left is my 3 granddaughters, all of who’s dresses needed my attention. All in all, it was a glorious time and so beautiful. (on the 3rd day after the wedding I came down with the girls.)
As many of you know, Gloria is about to finish her classroom schooling at fire school of ministry in davao city, Philippines. In mid-april, she will be embarking on her 6-month internship. She will begin her work with ‘hope for all children’ which is an orphanage on an island off the coast of davao. She will work with them for 4 months, living, eating, sleeping and ministering to these precious children. The people who head the ministry are a family that I graduated from BRSM together and they have been in the philippines since 2002.
Gloria’s hope is that she will raise enough funds to spend August and September working with another family in India. The wife is also a graduate from BRSM and I know her well. They also have a children’s school and Gloria has been invited to come for 2 months and work with them. (gloria can only go for 2 months because that is the Visa limit)
She needs to have her internship money in by the middle of aprii, 2019 in order to go to india. The cost of her trip, in total, is $4500.00. at this writing she has already gotten $250., which is encouraging her to believe god is going to supply all she needs.
If you feel led to support her internship, please send your tax-deductible gift to our secure on-line web site, writing in the box ‘gloria limpert internship’, So that the funding goes straight to her internship.. www.fire-international.org.
Or you can mail a check to fire international, the address is listed below. We both thank you for all you do to bless us in our life call to missions and seeing the gospel and the love of god around the world! We love you and pray for you! Alice & gloria
