Dear Family and Friends,
Greetings from Ukraine! It’s so good to be back in Krivoy Rog and also away from all that snow in Wisconsin! It’s practically spring here already! The dorm students, Greenfield ladies, and my church family are very happy to have me back!
Greenfield: I was eager to see my ladies again! The room was a buzz with excitement as we entered, they had been waiting for our return! Several of them told me it was a long winter without us. We’ve been having fun together – dancing, singing, doing crafts, playing games, and hearing the Word of God. The Lord reminded me of a story to share about three trees, because in that story, each of the trees dreams didn’t turn out how they were planning, but God still fulfilled their dreams in unexpected ways. Just as many of these dear ladies never thought they’d live in a group home, but God can still show His faithfulness and fulfill His plans for them right where they are!
Women’s Breakfast: We had the largest women’s breakfast we’ve had yet – about 45 ladies from five different churches showed up. We had some tasty food, an interesting craft, and time in the Word and prayer. The message I felt to share was from Song of Solomon chapter 2, The winter is over, the spring time has come. I shared how the bridegroom is calling us out of the winter in our souls into His spring. As I spoke, snow started falling again outside and right as I finished – suddenly the sun appeared and filled the room with sunlight. We all felt it was a sign from God that the spring is coming for us – physically and spiritually. I so enjoy our women’s events, it was a time of encouragement for everyone.
Evangelism: We’ve been out on the streets again and had a good, but cold time! The weather had been up around 40 degrees Fahrenheit and the day we decided to do evangelism the temps dropped and the winds picked up! It was cold but worth it! I met several people that I was able to share Jesus with. Since I was gone in the States I found out that one girl and her Mom whom we met during evangelism last summer have started coming to the church regularly! Praise God! Now just going places around the neighborhood I’m being recognized by people because of evangelism, and that opens the door for me to share the Gospel with them. God is good!
Dormitories: It was so good to see these students again. We all missed one another. On my birthday this past month I visited one of the dorms and three of the students had each bought me a chocolate bar as a gift. I was amazed! They remembered my birthday and even saved money to buy me a small gift, I was very touched! We love these students and continue to pray for them to encounter Jesus!
“All my life you have been faithful, all my life you have been so, so good!” That is the chorus to a song called “Goodness of God” by Jenn Johnson (Bethel Music) and I’ve been listening to it over and over again. Those words ring so true in my heart and spirit. There is no truer statement that this: ALL my life you have been faithful! I’m overwhelmed by His goodness and faithfulness to me. I trust Him not because I understand everything that is happening in my life, but I’m confident and can trust the fact that God knows the beginning and the end – and that He knows what He is doing! Through amazing times full of joy, to the darkest days in the lowest of lows; Father is still faithful, steadfast, and never-changing. The hard times are when we actually grow and understand the depths of His faithfulness. If life was always simple, we’d never actually understand faith, trust, and His goodness! Daily He walks with us, taking us by the hand, leading us, encouraging us, seeing us through all of life’s situations and He continually proves Himself faithful over and over again. I pray we all have more understanding of His unwavering faithfulness to us!
