Shalom Chaverim v’ Mishpocha,
Spring is right around the corner, and I have been very busy around the kehila(church) property. Just to update you on the status of the huge tree that was blown down a few months back. In our January newsletter I posted 3 photos of just how massive the tree was and all the wood that needed to be cut up. Well I am happy to report that after much time and physical pain, the tree has been cut into pieces small enough to be used as firewood next year. Another part of the process of removing the giant pine tree was the removel of the stump and the massive root system. (see photo) After working on it by hand for awhile I suggest to Athula (a fellow servant at the kehila) that we should hire a backhoe to dig it out. Knowing that the finances of the ministry are presently tight, I offered to pay the price of the backhoe (your love offerings at work). Well after working on the stump and roots for 25 minutes, the backhoe was able to remove the mountain that stood in our way. I thank God that we did get the backhoe, because to have dug it out by hand would have been impossible. After the removal of the roots and stump it was time to rebuild the stone wall and to make the area presentable. So Athula and I started to mix the concrete and to arrange the stone puzzle so that it would all fit nicely. After awhile I remembered the white stones that are around the new building by our apartment. So I went and transported some of the white stones that you see in the front to be placed in the wall. Next came the planting of the seeds and the new top soil, and the purchase of the palm tree you see in the photo (once again your love offerings at work). After planting the seeds I set out to plant the palm tree. While I was digging the hole I had a thought, ‘Where are some palm trees found?’ Then it came to me that many times you will find palm trees at an oasis in a desert. Then I had the thought that our kehila is an oasis in a dry land, and that living water flows out of Carmel Assembly to all those who are lost and thirsty. We ask that you all pray that Father God would replenish the living waters of Carmel Assembly, so that more and more souls will come to know the Living Waters of Life that flows from the throne of God. Amen.
Besides all the other parts of the Father’s Heart Ministry, we are also servants twice a year when the Mount Carmel School of Ministry hosts brothers and sisters from around the world. In the photo you will see Karen Davis as she teaches one of the classes in the sanctuary of Carmel Assembly. As for what I do, I sell and instruct people who desire to purchase and sound shofars.(see photo) They are not my shofars, I just sell them for one of the sisters who is a part of our congregation.
As for what Carol does…well the better question would be what doesn’t Carol do? While I am usually manning the shofar table I can see Carol running here and there as she coordinates the feeding of the participants of the school of ministry, and that’s just what I see. I know that there is so much more that she is doing behind the scenes. She is truly a servant and an inspiration to me, and I am so very grateful to have her as my wife and fellow laborer in the field.
Last, but certainly not least, is our request that you keep the children at the handicapped home in your prayers. Recently we lost another child as she went on to be with the Lord. While it is a great step up into glory for her, it breaks our hearts to have her gone. Please keep her family and us in your prayers as we extend our arms and hands of love of Father God to these children.
Once again we thank you all who are a part of the Father’s Heart Ministry through your prayers and your love offerings. May our heavenly supplier restore back to you what you have sown and much much more. He said He would and we stand on His Word.
In His Service,
Frank & Carol

About Frank & Carol LaPorta
The Father’s Heart Ministry (FHM) started back in April 2004 and is totally based on God’s Word in Matthew 25:34-40. In short what these verses state is that we are to minister to the needy of the world. That is what Carol and I, by the leading of the Holy Spirit, are doing here in Israel.
