Hello from Davao City,
It’s so great to be back home in Davao and finally settled! I returned to Davao on January 10. On January 23-26 I flew to Manila to attend a meeting at the US Embassy and attend a missionary retreat. The embassy meeting went well and the retreat was AMAZING!!!! The retreat was called “In Dew Time” and it was such a refreshing time to being able to pull away for a few days, focus on the Lord and connect with other missionaries! I am grateful to God and the Andrews for inviting me to the conference and for the blessing of their ministry.
Last week was our annual Global Impact staff retreat!!!! We had A LOT of FUN!!!! I shared about appreciation and verbal and non verbal expressions of communication and how those concepts can and will strengthen a team. After sharing I gave each team member a card and a pen and we each drew a name from a box. Our activity was to write three to four sentences of appreciation for the person who’s name we drew. When everyone was finished and we exchanged cards the room was filled with such sweetness!! I heard “awwwwws”, I saw hugs, I saw HUGE smiles and I even saw a few tears as people read the kind words from their peers!! I was so blessed and so was each staff member and so was Father! Appreciation goes a llllooonnngggg way!!! I appreciate each of you for your thoughts, prayers, financial gifts, and just for reading my news letter monthly and remembering me!!
CLA 2019 is just around the corner!!! This year’s theme is “Legacy” and it is Global Impact’s 11th Catalyst Leadership Academy!!! We are getting more excited as each week passes knowing that we will be blessed to pour into 40 young lives!!! If you would like to sponsor a student for CLA please email or text me to find out how!!
