Do you ever feel like time goes by too fast? Days whiz past you? You hold your newborn baby boy… then you blink your eyes and now he asks complex life questions from under his mustache?! Trust us! We understand!!

Our time in the United States has been fabulous, though quick! Only three weeks left! So many of you have housed, fed, hugged, prayed, encouraged, gave, shared and blessed us! THANK YOU! Seeing your faces and hearing your hearts is like stored fuel for when we are miles apart but together running full-steam ahead.

“Can I write you a prescription for air-conditioning?” she asked. I didn’t know how to answer Amariah’s pediatric neurologist in Charlotte. Her evaluation was normal (PRAISE GOD!) except for the continued diagnosis of migraine headaches.

A new revelation to us, intense heat can be a major trigger for migraines. Did you know the equator is only 480 miles from Davao city? That means it’s closer than the Philippines’ capital, Manila! Needless to say, year round it is sweaty and hot, but the summers are especially severe.

And it’s during these months that Amariah’s migraines have come. Filipino houses are not climate controlled; we only use air-conditioning in our bedrooms to sleep. The expense of a large air conditioner and the increase in our electricity bill is not something we are ready to face.

Many remember our April news of the large deficit in our monthly income. We praise God that 15% of this loss has been covered by new faith promises! Thank you to our new partners, and for those who increased their support! We hold dear your partnership!

Along with Dr. Martindale, our missions board holds us accountable with our best interest in mind. We are in need of at least an additional $850 a month. Would you please pray and consider helping us?

Enclosed is an orange Faith Promise Giving card, that helps us gauge our budget and provide assurance to our missions agency. Please complete and return the card to FIRE International.

Above all else, our confidence is in the Lord. “God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says…” 1 Corinthians 1:9

With love from our family to yours!

About Eric & Jenny McCoy Children: Hannah, Amariah and Elijah

The Lord put Southeast Asia on Eric and Jenny’s hearts many years ago. Both are graduates of FIRE School of Ministry and served on staff there for several years before moving to Davao, Philippines in April 2011. They have a desire to see the Great Commission fulfilled in the Philippines and to see “church-planting churches” established across the nations. “The McCoys’ mission is to train Filipinos to reach the unreached of Asia.” Eric currently serves as the Missions Director and faculty member of FIRE School of Ministry and as the Director of FIRE International Asia which is a missions sending agency for Asian missionaries.
