Groups…

We continue to run Missions Outpost while Neill and his family are training in Hawaii. Neill’s dad is involved with the Gideon’s and the Kairos Prison Ministry. The men’s ministry group was here last month to share the transforming love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ in the Avery-Mitchell Correctional Institution. The Kairos Prison Ministry was established in 1976 to impact the hearts and lives of incarcerated men, women and youth, as well as their families. The group needed a place to sleep. We were happy to accommodate them.

Field mice…

We were going down to feed the dog and cat. The dog had gotten hold of a field mouse. I challenged Stephanie to pick it up and toss it in the woods. I can’t believe she did it!

On-going Projects…

We are on the final push to have the building ready for the youth group who will use the entire building. There

are about 85 four-foot florescent light fixtures and I now have them all working. I also got the well house re-plumbed. Joints were leaking and the filter was in the wrong location. We discovered that one of the air conditioners was not working and had a

church friend come out and give me a hand with it.

Anderson Family…

The Anderson family has been living in the facility for a few years in one of the long-term apartments. The dad was working at a local truck stop and helping around the place with 2-person tasks on the building and outside grounds maintenance. They are committed to partnering with Neill for the school he plans to start when he

returns from Hawaii. Stephanie took them to the airport to join Neill at the school in Hawaii. Their baby (born prematurely) had breathing issues on the flight to California. They are not sure if they will be able to take the flight across the Pacific. The baby is under medical observation for a few days.
