Thank you for praying!
It was pure joy to start the month of May by ministering for one week at Global Impact’s annual Catalyst Leadership Academy! “Freedom Week” is always packed full of personal ministry, and the amazing testimonies that follow!
Next came my 10 day missions trip to Malaysia, with 8 FSM PH graduates and students. I led our team non-stop and visited four different cites from the north to the south. We went from ministering on the streets of Little India in the city of Penang to a healing outreach at a Buddhist temple in Chinatown of Singapore, to street witnessing in the city of Pekan Nanas, to ministering in a refugee slum area of Kuala Lumpur, and much more in between. The Lord did some amazing things, but more than anything He brought an awareness of the need to pray for the Buddhist Chinese, the Hindu Indians, and the Muslim Malays who live in Malaysia to come to know Jesus. Our prayers are powerful and effective!
Thank you for praying for these events, and for our family! We are believing the Lord for an increase in our monthly financial support, to meet our mission board’s requirements. The Lord is so faithful; as we pray for you each month, we know without a doubt that your rewards are great! We look forward to sharing more with you in person this summer!
Over the years we have shared about our island. You may remember…
Mindanao is the second largest island in the Philippines, has 25,000,000+ residents, but is home to 4 out of 5 of the country’s poorest regions. There are 12 unreached people groups on Mindanao. The first mosque was built in the 14th century, meaning Islam is older than any other religion. The US State Department continually warns not to travel to Mindanao due to Muslim terrorist groups.
What is the solution? What can we, the Church, do?
We believe there are at least two things we can do together to help bring change to Mindanao…
- PRAY. It has been our desire since 2010 to see a House of Prayer started in Davao.
We have been waiting for the Lord’s timing, but it couldn’t have been louder to our spirits or more highlighted than during my trip to Malaysia: God wants to establish a House of Prayer in Davao! Would you please PRAY with us? Pray that God would organize, fund and fuel a House of Prayer to move “mountains” and prepare the way for the Gospel to spread and for the Kingdom of Heaven to advance on Mindanao!
- SEND. Our mission: to train and send Filipino missionaries – even to Mindanao!
FI Asia exists to help facilitate this! The Lord spoke to us that multiplying ourselves,
pouring into Filipinos and sending missionaries will accomplish far more than
Jenny and I could ever do alone. Would you please help us SEND
Filipino missionaries to reach the unreached of Asia –
including Mindanao? To give, mark your gift, “FI Asia.”
We believe that Mindanao
will shine like the face of Jesus!
