“And He gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry…” Ephesians 4:11-12
Serving as missionaries has truly been one of the most fulfilling things we have ever done. That’s why, even more, it gives us great joy to see so many of our students taking missions trips each time the opportunity arises!
Last month 4 students and I traveled three hours west to Kidapawan, to do a special seminar on healing and deliverance. Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted – and that’s exactly what He did there as many confessed unforgiveness and asked Jesus to restore their souls. My students led worship, and helped teach, preach and pray. It is my JOY to step aside so they can use their gifts and share out of what they have received!
The following weekend 14 students and I traveled 8 hours north to Cagayan de Oro (CDO) for 4 days of outreaches, youth training and revival meetings. Jesus again did amazing things!
We wrote in our January letter of the storm that killed 200+ on our island. In CDO we visited 30 families who are still living in an evacuation center: a covered court with bedsheets separating their spaces. In the above photo you see Ruby (one of Jenny’s favorites) sharing with them as they gather around to hear the Gospel.. These moments are treasured reminders of why we are here: to train Filipinos to reach Asia!
Thank you for sending, supporting, praying and loving us!! Without you, we could never do what we do. Your partnership means to much to us! God bless you and your families!
