“The mission of the church is missions.” – Oswald Smith
It would be an understatement to say that I have a passion for world missions. To see the worldwide body of Christ burning brightly with a vision to reach their communities is excellent, but to see them harmoniously carrying the torch of world missions is even more excellent!
Over three billion people living inside the 10/40 Window (visit joshuaproject.net to learn more) are waiting for someone to come to them with the life-changing message of the Gospel. There are lost people all over the world who need the Gospel, but as Oswald Smith also said, “No one has the right to hear the gospel twice, while there remains someone who has not heard it once.” Reaching the unreached is our ultimate focus!
As I take this message to the places where I preach and teach, I ask the question, “What is your role in world missions?” We ALL have a part to play. Not everyone is called to sell all they have and move abroad to make disciples. Yet we all can partake in world missions somehow.
I see three areas of missions: Goers, Senders, and Mobilizers. If you’re not called to GO, that’s okay! I want to encourage you to please do all that you can to support and send those who are willing to go! Volunteer, pray, host a missionary, run your Kingdom-minded business with excellence, and use your prosperity for a purpose.
Jenny and I continue to obey God’s call on our lives to GO, SEND, and MOBILIZE. Without your help as Senders, we couldn’t do what we do: to train, equip, and send Filipinos to reach the unreached of Asia. Thank you!
